About Us

You'll find that the church of Christ in Bridgewater (formerly the Fleetwood church of Christ) is a New Testament church comprised of members who are scriptural in work, worship, and attitude. We invite you to come and worship with us. Our aim is to glorify God, provide teaching regarding His will for man, reach out to all to convert them to Christ, and build up the Body of Christ.

Our worship is governed by New Testament command and example. We even sing our praise to God without instrumental accompaniment, just as the early Christians did (Ephesians 5:19). We also partake of the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week, just as they did (Acts 20:7).

Our preaching is biblical and evangelistic (Mark 16:15-16). The aim is to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Though our worship is structured, it is not liturgical. And though our worship is spiritual, all things are done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40). And there is a feeling of good will toward all. Ours is a congregation with a desire to serve God and expand His kingdom on earth.
